Ability to Open Christmas Day if desired

Effective December 16, 2019, amendments to AGLC policies will allow retail liquor and cannabis locations and minors-prohibited (Class A) establishments to open on Christmas Day.

Lifting the restrictions is another opportunity to reduce red tape and supports licensees with the flexibility to make business decisions that support their operational needs.

This opportunity to open on Christmas Day is optional for licensees. The official Bulletin will be posted to aglc.ca.
