Covid Record Verifier App

Quick update about the Covid Records Verifier app for those participating in Exemption Program:

  1. You need 2 apps: the AB Covid Records Verifier app and ArriveCan app.

  2. In Alberta, only the Alberta QR code will be accepted as proof of vacciantion.

  3. However, paper or photos of vaccine records issued by First Nations, Canadian Armed forces and other provinces will still be accepted.

From the Ministry of Health confirming the above:

“The AB Covid Records Verifier app can now scan COVID-19 vaccine records with QR codes issued by other provinces & territories.

Alberta businesses that are participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program can quickly and securely scan vaccine records issued by other provinces and check that a person’s ID matches the name and date on the record.

Vaccine records issued by First Nations, Canadian Armed forces and other provinces will continue to be accepted at businesses and venues taking part in the Restrictions Exemption program after Nov. 15, whether a paper copy or displayed on a phone.

As outlined in Chief Medical Officer of Health Order 45-2021, international travellers need to present the ArriveCan app for international travelers together with valid international travel identity documentation in order to access businesses that are participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program.”
