Ivonne Martinez
Ivonne Martinez is the President of the Alberta Liquor Store Association (ALSA), where she provides strategic leadership and advocacy on behalf of independent liquor retailers across Alberta. With extensive experience in retail management, operations, and community engagement, Ivonne is a respected voice within Alberta’s beverage industry and a champion for the independent retail sector.

Ivonne is known for her commitment to advancing industry collaboration, enhancing business sustainability, and fostering positive relationships between retailers, suppliers, and government partners.

As ALSA President, Ivonne works to elevate the retailer voice in public-policy discussions, support member education and business development initiatives, and promote a fair and transparent regulatory environment that enables independent stores to thrive within Alberta’s competitive marketplace.

Industry Liaison
Margaux Burgess
Margaux Burgess is a Certified Sommelier and WSET Diploma holder whose work bridges wine education, importing, and advocacy across Western Canada.
An accredited Barossa Wine Educator, Sherry Educator, and Cava Educator, Margaux blends deep technical knowledge with storytelling and mentorship.

In addition to her role at ALSA, she is Co-President of CAPS Alberta and serves on the board of the Import Vintners & Spirits Association (IVSA), where she advocates for collaboration, transparency, and the continued growth of Alberta’s wine and spirits community.
​
In her role with ALSA, Margaux works to strengthen communication between retailers and industry stakeholders, support member education and merchandising initiatives, and ensure the retailer voice is clearly represented in discussions shaping Alberta’s liquor landscape.
