Alberta Liquor Store Association in the News!
Published on September 27, 2011
In September of this year the Edmonton Police Service came out with some crime statistics that suggested that the hours of liquor stores should be regulated in certain areas to help reduce crime. ALSA issued a press release on behalf of Alberta liquor stores, to advocate that currently Alberta liquor stores comply with all rules and regulation with respect to not serving intoxicated individuals and that those who abuse and commit crimes will do so even if the store hours change. ALSA will continue to focus on the Alberta model and the right of store owners to choose their own hours within the AGLC guidelines.
