The Alberta Liquor Store Association represents over 550 members in the province of Alberta. Our members own and operate small to larger sized businesses, and many have multiple locations.  

Who We Are

The Alberta Liquor Store Association (ALSA) was formed, in 1994 following privatization of the sector, to provide a unified voice for the Alberta liquor store industry when dealing with government, the public, the media and others who share interest in the liquor industry.

Who We Represent

ALSA is the only retail liqour store industry association in Alberta and represents over 550 retail liquor stores from every community across Alberta. Our members are very diversified, with small, medium and larger-sized businesses, some with many locations. Our strength in numbers solidifies our position in Alberta as the voice of all retail liquor stores in governemnet relations that deal with the liquor industry.

How We Represent

 

  • We are the voice through which the retail liquor store owner speaks to government and others in the liquor industry about the benefits, risks, and challenges associated with Alberta’s unique privatized model
  • We are dedicated to the promotion of responsible retailing and consumption of adult beverages
  • We believe in ethical business practices and comply with the Alberta Liquor and Gaming Act
  • We are committed to customer service excellence and improving a customer’s buying experience by providing industry personnel with education and training opportunities
  • We provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, trends and initiatives with a view toward greater public service and industry well-being as well as providing a code of ethics for members.

E-Newsletters

ALSA produces e-newsletters on a monthly basis. Members receive monthly e-newsletters keeping them up-to-date on news from ALSA, news about the industry, key events, business and product profiles and trends, and much more.

Industry Mailout

Industry members will receive a brochure quarterly containing updates about the industry, emerging trends, significant government policy discussions, rules and regulations, and what ALSA members are doing.

These handbooks are designed to be kept in a place that all employees have access and can answer common member questions and concerns.
